I'm excited! After months of hearing about it, Italian luxury brand Missoni's Collection for Target finally lands in stores this Tuesday, September 13th. Although I'm not really a label girl, the bold colors, 1960s inspired patterns and interesting textures do an impressive job to capture my attention. Missoni's high end collection (found here) is outrageously unaffordable: one particular coat retails for $9,055... pants for $875... $435 for a string bikini.

For those of us allotted with a normal budget, the Missoni for Target collaboration is a great opportunity to grab the designs at affordable price points. The collection ranges in price from $2.99 to $599.99, but the bulk of the collection costs less than $40. Missoni for Target includes everything under the sun: knit dresses, sweaters, swimwear, shoes, scarves, intimates, cosmetic cases, brush sets, hair accessories, silk ties, hats, kids and baby clothes, bedding, luggage, dinnerware, stationery, bicycles, outdoor furniture, iPad and iPod covers. I really want that bike!
My background isn't investment or finance. I'm not "qualified" to give stock tips, but I just had a thought... With celebrities, fashionistas, design buffs and soooo much of America ready to swarm Target for this collection, Target's stock prices must be soaring. And since Target's design collaborations are extremely popular, this might just be a solid investment in the future (NYSE:TGT)... Don't quote me LOL :)
